Service Users & Carers
The views of people who have a mental health problem or a learning disability and family and friends who care for them are very important to the review. There are service user and carer representatives on most of the Committees, but there are other ways of getting their views too.
The Learning Disability Committee also established an Equal Lives Group for people with a learning disability and a Carers Advisory Group. They meet regularly. These groups held a series of meetings around Northern Ireland to get the views of other people with a learning disability and their carers. The views gathered at these meetings have been summarised in two reports, We have a Dream and Focus on Families.
