Facilities Management

In 2004 Health Estates acquired policy responsibility for Facilities Management from the Secondary Care Directorate of the Department.
Facilities Management cover two distinct areas:
  • Estates services such as building and equipment maintenance.
  • Support services such as cleaning, catering, laundry, security, portering, and car parking.
Health Estates’ remit is taking forward the development, implementation and monitoring of an integrated Department strategy for support services, initially focusing on environmental cleanliness, laundry and catering services. Operational or technical support to the HPSS in these three areas is provided by the Central Services Agency.
The Estate Policy Directorate personnel involved in Facilities Management are:
Brian Godfrey (9052 3714) and
Philip Hanna (9052 3782).
