How to Register

Health Estates Register of Contractors

In order to reduce the time required for the tendering procedure Health Estates maintains a Register of Contractors as a basis of selection for invitation to tender for the construction disciplines detailed below.

Application Process

To apply for inclusion on the Register for a particular construction discipline(s) you are interested in and to access an application form please click on the link below and complete and return the application together with any supporting information.
If the application process, which can take up to ten weeks, is successful firms will be admitted to the appropriate list (s) and, based on evidence received, allocated specific Facility and Work Categories on which they will be approved to work.
Applicants will receive written notification of the outcome of this process.
Firms who have been restricted to specific Facility and Work Categories will have the opportunity at any time to submit documentary evidence, including reference details, in order to have their Categories reviewed. This process can also take up to ten weeks.
Health Estates will normally write to all firms on an annual basis inviting them to submit documentary evidence to support and update consideration of the allocation of any categories which they do not hold.
If a firm has lapsed out of health work or a specific work category then Health Estates may amend the categories as appropriate.

Financial Notation

The financial value of projects on which a successful contractor is approved to work on will be based on the 'financial notation' allocated by Constructionline.

Specialist Categories

Specialist Contractors including but not limited to
  • Demolition
  • Asbestos Removal/Treatment
  • Lift Installation
  • Glazing
  • Roofing
  • Landscaping
do not have to register with Health Estates but MUST be registered with Constructionline.
Projects of this nature will be advertised on the Health Estates website, however it will be the relevant Health and Social Care Trust and NOT Health Estates who will be responsible for selecting those contractors who are to be invited to tender.
