Processing Select Lists
A select list of tenderers for each of the advertised disciplines is drawn up through the operation of a computerised system as follows:
- Notices seeking firms who are on the Health Estates' Register of Contractors and registered with Constructionline, and are interested in tendering for the specific project will be placed in the Tender Opportunities section of DHSSPS website on behalf of the client. The website address is http://www.dhsspsni.gov.uk/index/hea/hea_tenders.htm
(A 'client' will normally be one of the 5 Northern Ireland Health & Social Care Trusts, the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service or associated Agencies)
- Applications will be returned to the client who will then submit them to Health Estates together with details of the project criteria (Facility and Work Categories and Value of the project).
- The applicants names (those that are on the register of contractors) are entered into the computer and an interim list in rota order of those contractors satisfying the specific project criteria i.e. financial notation and facility and work categories is produced.
- The first six contractors satisfying the project criteria are identified as suitable for tendering and passed to the client for consideration.
- The client responds advising that the six firms are acceptable and the select list is finalised
- The client will then notify
- the first six firms in rota order that they are to be invited to tender
- the unsuccessful firms who met the financial, facility and work categories that they were unsuccessful due to rota position
- those firms who did not meet the financial and/or work categories why they were unsuccessful
- firms who applied but were not registered with Constructionline or not on Health Estates Approved List why they were unsuccessful and directed to the website for details on becoming registered.
- the first six firms in rota order that they are to be invited to tender
- When each select list has been finalised those firms who have been chosen to tender will be placed at the bottom of the Register in rota order.
Note: The composition of the final list of tenderers will be at the sole discretion of the client.
