Guidance Publications

These publications are produced occasionally when Guidance is needed for topical issues and a Device Bulletin would not be a suitable format.

Medical devices play a crucial role in care and treatment. This booklet provides a practical guide to medical devices for all health and social care service professionals involved in primary care. This booklet is for:
  • health and social care professionals working in a range of primary care settings including residential and nursing homes
  • health and social care organisations as they develop policies and protocols for the use of medical devices
  • voluntary and charitable organisations who provide devices direct to individuals or health and social care organisations

One Liners

For a number of years the MHRA have provided useful information in the form on a one-page flyer. This information has now gone on-line at the MHRA Website and will no longer be distributed in paper form by NIAIC to the HPSS.
Visit http://www.mhra.gov.ukLink to an external website to see the text of each flyer, you will also be presented with the opportunity of loading a colour pdf version. We would recommend that if you find any article of use to your staff you should print it out and place it on your local notice board.
