Pension Choice Calculators

In this section you will find a pension modeller which will show members of the HSC Pension Scheme how the two sections of the scheme affect the levels of payments and benefits that can be paid at retirement. The modeller is designed to help support members during the Choice Exercise.

The purpose of these Modellers is to demonstrate the differences between the two Sections of the HSC Pension Scheme They are not intended to provide you with a personalised quote of your actual retirement benefits.
Any figures obtained from this Modeller are for the purposes of illustration only and are not a guarantee of the pension savings you have built up in the 1995 Section or the pension savings you will have in the 2008 Section should you choose to transfer to it.
This Modeller is intended to assist members to make an informed decision about their HSC Pension Choice. You will have received a Choice Statement if you have contributed to the 1995 Section of the HSC Pension Scheme on or after 1 April 2008 and are still contributing on 1 October 2009. It does not take into account:-
  1. Pension sharing orders
  2. Doubled' Mental Health Officer service
  3. Added year’s contracts
  4. Additional Pension
  5. Any reduction on your pension for income tax or lifetime allowance charges.
Please note that there are also some limits on the amount of membership that can be counted for your benefits and therefore the estimate you produce may be inaccurate.
