Good Practice
The Department is committed to mainstreaming equality into its policy
making process, using equality as a means to influence and change policy and service delivery which
leads to improve policies and better services that take account of peoples needs.
As policies are developed there is an increasing emphasis on effective
implementation, to promote the desired outcomes of the policy and the desired effects for the users
of our services. With this in mind the Department and its family of organisations (HSS Boards, Trusts
and Agencies) are keen to promote good practice. To date several good practice reviews have been undertaken,
