Governance in HPSS

This learning package has been developed to support induction and general awareness training on risk management. It draws heavily on work originally commissioned by North and West Belfast HSS Trust and then tailored for wider use by the HPSS. The content has been reviewed and quality assured by a Sub-Group of the Risk Management Forum and the package has been piloted by North and West in the context of staff induction.

The Department regards the willingness of North and West to develop and share their original work and the commitment of the Sub-Group members in reviewing the package on behalf of the wider HPSS as an excellent example of the collaboration that will be necessary to ensure that the wider governance agenda is taken forward successfully.

Individual HPSS bodies may wish to tailor this learning package to the specific needs of their staff and organisation. The Notes section of each slide indicates which are core and should not be changed; and which have scope for adaptation to meet local needs and arrangements.
