Implementing the Changes
Modernisation and Improvement Programme Board (MIPB)
The Modernisation and Improvement Programme Board has overall responsibility for:
The successful implementation of the changes to the administration structures for Health and Social Care in line with Ministerial and Executive decisions.
The Board includes representatives from across the Department and the HSC. It is supported by a range of projects as detailed in the Projects Dossier.
Work continues on implementing the health and social care reforms and the programme and projects are making considerable progress. The Project updates document provides details of the MIP individual projects progress to date, next steps and final outputs.
The aim of this programme is to deliver on Ministerial and Executive decisions regarding the Health and Social Care reform agenda within the DHSSPS and HSC. The programme will ensure there is consistency with reform initiatives within the wider public sector including organisational restructuring; the reconfiguration of services and the release of savings which are to be reinvested in front line public services. The MIP PDD summarises the information that will be used to define the programme.
