A new Regional Maternity Hand Held Record was being developed for pregnant women in Northern Ireland.

A multidisciplinary, multi professional group came together facilitated by Denise Boulter, DHSSPSNI to develop this record which will be carried by all women in Northern Ireland throughout their pregnancy.

Record was introduced to service in December 2009 and launched officially by Minister in March 2010.

The record is reviewed on an annual basis to ensure the evidence base is as up to date as possible.
