Responsible Pharmacist Regulations Laid Before Parliament
In May, the UK Health Departments published the response to public consultation on the content of the responsible pharmacist regulations. Since then, there has been further consultation with pharmacy representatives on the drafting of the regulations.
The Medicines(Pharmacies)(Responsible Pharmacist) Regulations 2008 were laid before Parliament on 29 October 2008 but in line with the response to consultation, these will not come into force until 1 October 2009 to allow pharmacy time to prepare.
