Public Health Function Review In Northern Ireland

The Review of the Public Health Function in Northern Ireland reported in December 2004. The final report and supporting documents are available on this website.
Implementation sub-groups were established to develop plans to take forward the implementation of the recommendations contained within the Review of Public Health.  However, following the announcement of decisions in relation to the Review of Public Administration (RPA) in November 2005, the Chief Medical Officer asked each of the sub-groups to produce reports on their work to inform aspects of the RPA implementation relevant to Public Health.  Copies of the reports received to date are provided below.

Reform of Health and Personal Social Services: Public Health Functions Project

The reports by the implementation sub-groups will inform the Public Health Functions Project Team, which has been established to identify and make recommendations on how the public health function will be delivered within the new structures developed following decisions on the Review of Public Administration in relation to Health and Personal Social Services.
