Planning Assumptions for the first wave of Pandemic Influenza
On 3 September, the UK issued revised planning assumptions to assist preparations for the current A(H1N1) pandemic. These planning assumptions are appropriate for use until the end of the 2009/10 “seasonal flu” season (Mid-May 2010).

General Pandemic Information
A revised Northern Ireland Contingency Plan for Health Response for an Influenza Pandemic was issued on 25 November 2008. This document will be accompanied by a range of supporting guidance to assist pandemic planning in: acute hospitals; maternity services; mental health services; social care; and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.
