Quarterly Children Order Child Protection and Referral Statistics

Following consultation (MS Word 24KB) with and having considered the feedback (MS Word 21KB) received from users's Community Information Branch plan to combine 'Children Order Statistical Tables' and 'Children Order Statistical Trends' to form one publication titled 'Children's Social Care Statistics in Northern Ireland'. The first edition of this new bulletin will be available on the DHSSPS website on 26th October 2012. Details on the layout and content of the publication are available here (MS Word 16KB).

The Children Order Child Protection and Referral Statistics are based on quarterly children order returns CPR4 and CPR3 for Northern Ireland. A wider set of Children Order Returns are used to produce the Children's Social Care Statistics for Northern Ireland publication, which presents childrens social care data for year ending 31st March, and which compares childrens social care data over a five year period.

Figures in this bulletin are presented for the Child Protection Register by legal status, category of abuse, duration and age. Child Protection Protection Referrals  are presented by source of referral.
