Medical Device / Equipment Alert
During 2009 all regions of the UK agreed to move onto a standard numbering
system for medical device and estates Alerts. Medical Device Alerts have now prefixed by MDA and Estates
and Facilities Alerts with EFA. If there is the need to publish safety information locally without national
distribution these Northern Ireland Alerts have the prefixed with NIA’s
Older Medical Device/Equipment ALERT, Hazard Notices, Advice Notices
and Safety Notices effective are retained on the website for reference.
Each ALERT is sent to HPSS organisations where action is required to
be taken. Any member of the public requiring information on a particular notice is advised to contact
their General Practitioner or NIAIC directly.
