The
Respect Phoneline is an information and advice line for people who
are concerned about their abusive and/or violent behaviour. The vast majority of perpetrators are men
in heterosexual relationships, but Respect also take calls from female perpetrators as well as those
in same-sex relationships.
If you phone the Respect Phoneline, Respect will:
- encourage and motivate you to stop your abusive behaviour,
- discuss your abusive behaviour, encourage you to talk about your violence
honestly and openly. Respect will focus on the processes that lead to your abuse and explore non-abusive
alternatives,
- explain that you have choices and are 100% responsible for your behaviour,
- make you aware of the impact your violence and abuse has on your children.
Respect does not undertake long-term phone work or counselling.
Opening hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
and Friday 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm
